Credit Unions are the tops!
For the fourth consecutive year, credit unions have been recognised as the most reputable organisation in Ireland, topping the Ireland Reputation Index 2026.
The annual survey of 5,000 members of the public measures the level of trust, respect, admiration, and esteem that the public has for 100 Irish household names studied.
What is clear from the national survey is that the credit union ranks highly in citizenship, conduct, and workplace, as well as in key indicators of trustworthiness. It comes as no surprise that credit unions are ranked ahead of other financial institutions in Ireland and are perceived as down-to-earth, fair, flexible, genuine, sincere, and straightforward. It’s a result that reflects something we experience every day here at Clonmel Credit Union.
At Clonmel Credit Union, we have seen these sentiments reflected in our own standalone bi-annual survey conducted by iReach. The relationships we build in our community matter, and the feedback we receive from our members continues to shape how we grow and improve.
95% say the staff in Clonmel Credit Union are friendly and helpful. 94% agree that the staff are professional and knowledgeable, while 93% are satisfied with the level of communication from Clonmel Credit Union. In 2025, 90% are satisfied with the ease of making payments, and 87% are satisfied with the range of products and services.
That feedback drives us to keep improving.
While national recognition is important, at Clonmel Credit Union, we remain committed to putting our members first and delivering the kind of service that makes a real difference locally, every day.
